There are various areas of application in mechanical and plant engineering in which technical ceramics play a key role as a structural material. To meet the diverse requirements in the best possible way and to develop individual components and solutions, designs suitable for ceramics are created in close cooperation between our customers and our technicians and engineers with in-depth knowledge of technical ceramics and their possible applications. It is important to use the strengths of ceramic materials optimally with designs and engineering that are appropriate for ceramics.

 

During the planning phase, a feasibility study is drawn up that not only includes the technical specifications of the application and the resulting requirements but also takes into account all the costs. The following parameters are included when designing a product that is optimal for the respective process: mechanical stress, pressure resistance, wear resistance, temperature, chemical attack, corrosion resistance, type of atmosphere, vacuum tightness, electrical insulation properties and dielectric strength, flash-over voltage, quantity, tolerances, choice of material, available space and installation situation. Manufacturing processes and machining options are selected according to requirements, and design changes are discussed and analysed in order not only to offer a technically optimal solution but also to pay special attention to the cost-effectiveness of production. We develop innovative, customer-specific solutions from the idea to the start of production.
